A Sneak Peek

My husband is having his first exhibit in 20 years starting this week. I am so proud of him not only because of the great husband and father that he is but because he works so hard at what ever it is he needs to accomplish.
He has put his great talent to the side for these past years to support a new family, build our house, and just plain old take care of us. (and generously, others that we care about that are in our lives).
He is a wonderful example to our two children and I am so happy that they have been able to experience his talent in their lives.

The drawing above of Audrey Hepburn is one of ten. His style is exquisite. His ability to capture a graphic and painterly quality with pencil is...I just don't know how to explain it...beautiful.

If you are in the area and have the chance, stop by the  Mott College Fine Arts Gallery.
Each day this week I am going to show a part of each drawing to entice you!

This bracelet is made with polymer clay beads that I made and fell in love with. This bracelet suspiciously fits me perfectly, hmmmm.
I know that it is really simple but believe me I spent days and days looking at the combinations and patterns that I felt would make these beads work the best and in the end I just really wanted to highlight the beads and the soft feminine color. I also have a beautiful lamp work bead from https://www.etsy.com/shop/SerenaSmithLampwork on Etsy and lovely, lovely, lovely work.
Really there were so many colors that could go with these beads but I chose a more monochromatic palette with rhodochrosite spacer beads. Oh yes the bead caps came from https://www.etsy.com/shop/clbeads
I adore them!

My art bead is made from polymer clay, pressed image, carved and colored by myself.

 January challenge

Well I haven't posted much of anything lately because it seems all I do is work on my blog images. I haven't seemed to get exactly what I feel expressed me as an artist yet but I feel that I'm getting there.

Here are my beads for this month's challenge from  Art Bead Scene's

I made a bunch of polymer clay beads to reflect the palette

I love these

I think these look like calico

Thanks!
